With the advent of the Internet there is now a plethora of resources available to the home genealogist researching their family’s history or genealogy. The flip side to this is that your family information is there for most to see and find if you found it. There is two types of resources to the home genealogist, FREE and Pay to Use. Most will obviously opt for the free. Some, after exhausting all others have to use the pay services.

I will give you several great sites for both and encourage you to visit them both to find out what information they have for you and your family and let you decide which is best for you. Keep in mind, most of the pay to use have a trial time to allow you to use their services to see what you think, so use that time wisely.
